A former 16th-century residence of European aristocrats, Villa d'Este has welcomed guests with its gracious brand of hospitality since 1873. This lakeside villa is set in a picturesque park, a place that has won the hearts of travelers for generations. Visitors are treated to a celebrated standard of service, including top-rated rooms, amenities and cuisine.
The Spa is designed to make artful use of the blend of light, colour and water to create the proper environment for serenity and relaxation based on Zen philosophy. It is the perfect oasis to replenish mind, body and soul. The Spa is located on the first floor of the Cardinal building and is connected to the Sporting Club by an underground passage.
Accommodation
The main house built in 1568 and known as the Cardinal's building counts 130 rooms while the trompe l'oeil masterpiece known as the Queen's Pavilion, inaugurated in 1860 has 31 rooms. Every air conditioned room is different both in size and décor and feature period furniture, oil paintings, como silk covers sofas and chairs, drapes are silk brocade, linen sheets and walk-in closets. Some rooms have balconies or terraces.
Dining
Dining choices include the formal Verandah and the Grill for haute Italian dining. Japanese restaurant Kisho, all with terrace and outdoor service in summer. Sundeck bar for snacks and light meals. |
