Accommodation
The 56 bedrooms and 12 Suites are each different in shape, interior design and size, resulting in a variety of rates. The common thread throughout all the rooms is the use of genuine Scottish Estate tweeds as part of the interior design. Some four dozen estates consented to allow us to use this very unique part of the Scottish heritage. Every conceivable last detail has been subtly included. Each room has been designed for comfort and convenience - from the discreet privacy hatches, which prevent room service intrusions and luxurious bathrooms to state of the art entertainment systems to handmade beds.
Dining
Vermilion is our two rosettes stylish and sophisticated restaurant at The Scotsman. Beth McTaggart and her team offer a very friendly, yet polished service, whilst Chris Smart works busily behind the scenes creating some of the very best food in Edinburgh, using the finest ingredients from Scotland and beyond. Cream leather sofas in the bar area are the ideal spot to enjoy a glass of fizz prior to dinner, whilst inside the restaurant, bronze fronted cabinets sparkle with the reflection of candlelight to create the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. North Bridge Brasserie, open all day where the architecture alone is stunning from the original marble pillars and oak panelling to the contemporary steel and glass bar and staircase. |
